Part of our family...

Lately I've been finding myself torn... although I want to have a place where I can just journal and write about my sweet Josh and Jonah, not doing this on our family blog seems to be too "removed" from our family... God has shaped our family through the births and deaths of our first two sons. We are better parents because we have experienced the devastation of losing not one, but two children. I am a mother of 5.

Although our family cannot physically be together this side of Heaven, I want to "integrate" the two blogs so that we can share about ALL our children in one place. If you've reached our blog looking specifically for posts about Josh & Jonah, I'll tag them to make them easier to locate.

I recently found this song on the blog of the O'Brien family who recently lost their precious Larson. My heart aches for their family and for so many others who have babes in Heaven. Isn't it amazing to know that we'll see, hold and touch them again!!!! Until then, I will continue to praise my God who takes away, but also gives and lavishes us with His AMAZING love. I still believe.

Dear Lezlie,

I'm not sure if you got the email I sent a few days ago. I did't get a note saying it was undeliverable but it occurred to me that maybe you don't use that email address much and I thought I'd better write to you on here too.

I was hoping you might be willing to contact some acquaintances of mine who just recently gave birth to twins. They are over 3 months early. A little boy and girl. Their parents have been trying to have children for a long time ... eventually they had fertility assistance of some kind. Anyway, they are facing things they never dreamed of now as did you and Jon. And I thought that a word from you might be encouraging for them as you can truly relate to all the ups and downs they are dealing with. I don't want to be insensitive to your grief especially as Christmas nears ... but believed you would want the opportunity to come alongside someone else who is facing what you have already faced. I asked them if it was ok and they said that yes they would very much like to hear from you. They are a young Filipino couple named Mary and Joseph (for real!). They are believers and a beautiful pair. Their blog is josephandmary.blogspot.com and you can reach them through that sight. They have pictures and updates on the twins there too.

I am in the middle of writing you a snail mail letter and will be sending it soon along with some Christmas cheer. I love you guys!!
Amy
