A morning at the beach

We went to a local beach (Wild Goose Park) on Lake Superior with some friends. It was sunny, but the breeze off the lake was chilly! Abby & Jude had fun playing in the sand.

Happy Daddy's Day!

We went to Montana's for a Daddy's Day lunch after church. They bring lollipops with the bill (Abby and Daddy are "showing" theirs). Jude is trying to figure out how to get one for himself. Shortly after this picture, he grabbed Abby's when she wasn't looking!

In the pool

The kids started off in separate pools. I admit, Jude's was a little smaller than I thought. I got it at the $ store. What can I really expect?! He soon vacated his pool to go hang out with his sister in her big kid pool.

Jude "chatting"

Jude's pool became Abby's "sail boat". The two of them were hilarious together! Jude had some animals that he would put in Abby's boat. She would promptly remove them and throw them back in the pool. Jude would smile, and then put them back in. She was totally playing his game! She got him back by pouring a cup of water over his head. He sputtered a bit and then just smiled at her... he loves playing with his big sister.

Centennial Park

We went to Centennial Park on Saturday to meet some other families from MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers). Abby liked hanging out with Daddy on the logging machines

Swinging...

Jude LOVES to swing! It still takes him a little by surprise, but he just smiles and giggles.

Swinging like his big sister!

Pot-luck at Trudi & Poul-Erik's

Abby & Daddy had fun playing in the pool
Jude enjoying some yummy pizza
Abby & Jude both had fun on the trampoline. Jude did the bum bounce. Abby was a little hesitant at first, but by the end of the evening, jumped without holding on to our hands.

Bathtime!

This is Abby and Jude's first bath together. They had fun, although Jude was being a typical little brother and poking his sister.

Abby at Benny Birch's Birthday Party

Every year, Thunder Bay has a birthday for Benny Birch. I'm not sure if there is a real tree named Benny, but there is a person dressed up like a tree at the party. Anyway, Abby had fun with the baby animals petting area and on the merry-go-round. Jude was a little freaked when I picked up a baby duck and took it over to him in the stroller to touch.

Abby and Daddy decided to make funny faces for this picture...

The family

Abby kitty again...we went to a yard sale at our church where they had face painting. Again, Abby chose to be a kitty. At another yard sale we found a "Daddy kitty" that has similar colours as her "Baby kitty". She was VERY excited to buy him with her 75 cents. Her other purchase was a tiny polly pocket merry-go-round.
Nana with the kids & I. This picture of Jude may be an indication of what we're in for. Doesn't he look like his mind is just racing, trying to figure out what he can get into next? Yesterday while Nana & I were preparing supper, he crawled into the kitchen from the toy/tv room, under the table and into the cat food before we really noticed him (he's very quiet when on a mission). I picked him up and took him back to his toys. Not 30 seconds later he had knocked over the other cat's water (on the other side of the kitchen) and was splashing in it. He's a busy little guy! I can't really complain, he could have started crawling much earlier :-)
By the time it was Daddy's turn, Jude was done & Abby apparently had no smiles left.
