Hanging out at Auntie Win & Uncle Len's place

"Hello?"
"Any more?!"
Abby got her nearly 12 year old cousin Allie to play "Pollys" with her and then got her Auntie Win to roll down the hill with her!

Girly time with Auntie Win

Painting Abby's toe nails...
...and finger nails.

Then Abby thought that Tasha, Win & Len's elderly dog should have her nails done too. Auntie Win and Uncle Len helped Abby make Tasha look pretty.

Tea Parties

Abby LOVES having tea parties and so had lots while we were in NB. Jude will play along as long as real food is involved :-)

Auntie Joan's Cottage

The day that we arrived at Auntie Joan's cottage (July 12) it was pouring! It rained on and off for the next morning as well, but Abby and I decided to go out an play just the same!

Fishing with Papa

While we were in Debec, Abby and I went fishing with Papa, something I did when I was a little girl. Papa got Abby a Dora fishing rod for her birthday, so she was very excited to try it out. First, Papa had to put a hook on it for her.
Finding a nice juicy worm for bait...

Papa or I would cast for Abby and then she would reel it in. She wasn't overly patient and kept asking where the fish were. After a while, she decided to pick wild flowers instead.

Success!

Papa caught a small trout on our fishing adventure. Abby was very excited, although didn't want to eat it after Nana fried it up for her. Jude and Papa enjoyed it instead. I was really quite surprised that she actually held it!

In Papa's Garden

Abby, Jude and I just returned from spending 12 days in NB with our families. Papa, my dad has several gardens that Abby loved to explore. I loved walking around my parents' property with the kids, telling them about when I was a little girl. Abby liked picking peas and lettuce, although wouldn't eat either.

Papa built a tee-pee structure for his beans to grow up so they would make a tent for the kids to play in. The peas weren't high enough to make a covering, but Abby enjoyed playing in it just the same.

Happy Canada Day!

We had a Canada Day party. Here's a picture of Abby hanging out with the guys as they kicked a soccer ball around with her from their chairs (it was a pretty casual and relaxed game...) She especially enjoyed Kevin's playful commentary.

Jude enjoyed hanging out with Alexandra in the toy tent.
