We spent much of the Christmas break sliding down the hill near our home... it's one of the perks living on a hill!
These are some of the Christmas crafts the boys brought home from school. One of the things I appreciate most about having our kids in the Catholic school board is that Christmas and Easter are about Christ, not about Santa and the Easter bunny. There certainly are elements of Santa and the Easter bunny, but the emphasis is not on them.
One of Abby's friends was visiting from Alberta where she moved in June. Abby got to see her friend a few times, but we also wanted to have a bigger playdate so all the girls could see each other and catch up over the break. So one of the moms planned a playdate where the girls got to go hunting for fairies on the trail behind their country home. They had a so much fun! Abby's friends are great, as are their parents! I have very much enjoyed getting to know her friends' moms in particular over the past few years.
