When it's been so long...

... where do I even begin?

It seems to be the theme these days.

So I realise that it's been  nearly over 2 months since I've updated the blog... there have been so many partial blog posts in my mind that never actually get actualized...even this one will likely be outdated before I post it!

Overall, I'm feeling blessed ...

Finding joy in life's moments...

The kids' joy in picking dandelions and gifting them

Together blowing away dandelion fluff instead of worrying that the boys are not on the soccer field playing with their team

Jude turning 5 and all the sudden appearing so much older

Jordan's excitment about being "3 years old" and going to school in September

Abby dancing in her first recital and attending her first Girl Guide camp

Jon's mum Lin spending 3 weeks here with us

My sister Joan flying up to see us for the weekend before Jude's birthday

The tenderness with which Jude holds a baby chick

A night away with Jon.... just the 2 of us :)

Abby's "saves" when she played goal for the very first time

The smell of apple blossoms & lilacs

Celebrating 13 years of marriage with the love of my life.

As much as I'm trying to savour life's moments and gifts from God, it's sometimes difficult to find balance.  As much as I love being at home with the kids, I need to carve out time to finish things that I've begun.

You will my friend. Remember that God created you, this moment, this season for "such a time as this".

Authenticity, eloquence, and beauty - thanks for sharing bits of your life, Lez! Glad to hear things are going well. :) (I've been checking here almost every day, and smiling every time I read the title of your last post: The Lioness that wanted to eat the kids...) Praying that God will indeed guide you into the perfect balance for the moment...and bless you with His perfect peace...

Joy :)
PS The picture of your sweet daughter in the lilacs is absolutely gorgeous! Beautifully captured!
