We had Jude's Diego Animal Rescue Birthday Party on May 23.
It was chilly (as it always seems to be when we plan outdoor parties), but the rain held off !
We had animal costumes and facepainting, made spotting scopes and decorated butterflies...
The kids made a chalk animal mural on the retaining wall & were tatooed with Diegos.
Auntie Win and I stayed up way too late the night before decorating the cake she and Auntie Joan had made for Jude (while Jon and I went on a mini-date... THANK YOU!)
Jordy only made an appearance for the cake. He had a nasty eye infection and cough so we let him watch Cars in attempts to keep all other little people healthy.
For the "loot bags", we coiled a 24" gummy snake in a cup with chocolate "rocks" (also used around Jude's rescue jeep cake... thanks for introducing us to chocolate rocks Mrs. Angela!)
Jude was thrilled to have both his aunties here for his birthday this year. It was so nice to be able to celebrate Jude's 4th birthday with family AND friends.
