Yes, Jon was inspecting the bridge in Kakabeka yesterday so I took the boys out to watch Daddy (he's in the
very bright yellow). The boys loved the BridgeMaster (the big truck with a bucket on an arm), but loved watching Daddy work even more.... I heard a lot of: "Daddy is
so cool"... "Daddy in the bucket is the
coolest"... "Daddy's tapping the bridge!"...."Daddy's making sure the bridge is safe"... Then they wanted to help look for cracks to show Daddy.
We even made up a song to the tune of "Wheels on the Bus":
"Daddy in the bucket goes tap, tap, tap
Tap, tap, tap
Tap, tap, tap
Daddy in the bucket goes tap, tap, tap
Under the bridge"
It was a fun way to spend the afternoon. I had never actually seen the BridgeMaster either, so it was fun to watch what Jon does during the bridge inspections.
